It’s been another step forward for African football in 2015, with a highly entertaining African Cup of Nations campaign in Gabon won by the Ivory Coast, the start of a new cycle of World Cup qualifying, another vibrant CAF Champions League campaign clinched once again by TP Mazembe, not forgetting the continual strides made by our continent’s players in the top leagues across Europe. Here’s our extensive countdown of the Top 100 Players in Africa over the last 12 months, taking into account the whole footballing landscape, from those players succeeding in Europe, to those home based players starting to make their name on a national basis.
