Norberto Mulenessa Maurito

This has to go down as one of the best pieces of skill ever seen at the African Cup of Nations. The great Norbeto Mulenessa Maurito – commonly known as Maurito – performed this piece of unaldulterated, filthy illusion at the 2008 Cup of Nations. When I saw it live, I traded exchanges with my father. It was a look of utter horror,we couldn’t believe what we had seen. Even when we slowed down the youtube video later on to fully try and decipher what we had seen during the game, the prestidigitation escaped us. What the…How? Who? Wha-?  Shit. Fan. Hit. The.

The great Maurito unfortunately won’t be at this year’s Cup of Nations, he’s currently playing for Minangkabau F.C. in Indonesia. Do his team-mates know they’re in the presence of greatness? Highly likely.

Absolutely sick trick. I remember seeing this game live and just being absolutely stunned…stupendous!
