Match Summary:

Swansea hosted an Everton side who seem to have their eyes fixated on a European Qualifying position this season. Everton came into the game knowing that they are undefeated against the Swans in all 15 fixtures between the two sides, winning eleven and drawing four and that record was extended today. Anichebe, who dominated the Swansea defensive in the first half, scored the first goal after Fellaini bullied his was through the Swansea defence. Everton’s 2nd came before the end of the 1st half, with Mirallas getting on the end of a brilliant Steven Pienaar pass. Nathan Dyer, who came on for Hernandez at half time, was sent off at the 57 minute mark after picking up 2 yellow cards, despite being on the pitch for 12 minutes. At the 82 minute mark, Fellaini’s hair scored Everton’s third and final goal of the match.

What a season it has turned out to be! Manchester City turning out to be eventual winners within literally the last few seconds in the season. Arsenal managed to qualify for the Champions’ League by the skin of their teeth with a win against West Bromwich Albion, while Newcastle failed to qualify for the Champions League, but have ended up in the respectful Europa League. Wigan played brilliant football towards the end of the season, ensuring their survival, while Wolves, Blackburn and Bolton will have to spend a season rebuilding their teams in order to play in the Premier League again.
